The song “Calm” by Nigerian singer Rema featuring Selena Gomez was a huge success, the American singer herself took note and even thanked the Nigerian singer. For her, the Nigerian changed her life with this song for good.
But what caused this spike in numbers? Of course, there’s no one better suited to answer that question than Rema himself, and he just did.
The Mavin star, who won the MTV VMA ahead of older industry peers like Wikid and Burnaboy, noted that creating the song was natural and came easily because of the friendship he shares with Selena Gomez . When it came out, the results spoke for themselves. This issue has caused a stir around the world.
Rema, though, is not snoring on the accomplishments of that beat. Not at all. Following his MTV victory, the singer talked about his desire to meet “all the girls” in an interview. Yes, in addition to Selena Gomez, he wants to collaborate with Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj, two powerhouses in the industry. Check out the video clip down below.
